Sometimes, we hesitate too long before diving into the unknown. We ponder too long at the what-ifs, always contemplating, contemplating about what could and what would. The waters before us may be cold when we dive in, and it may chill us to the bone, to the point where we do not know how to move along. What we do not realize, is that if we do not dive, we are already ocean deep. We are already immersed in dark, murky currents, gasping for breath. It is in these moments that we are lost, because the coldness let us forget how to swim. And we reach out our fragile hands, frantically trying to hold onto whatever we can. Sometimes, if you are lucky, something may come along for you to grab onto. People like me, however, must learn to stay afloat by ourselves. The depths are unknown, but it is that that keeps us swimming, swimming.
